About the Club

Coastal Community Dog Training Club is a family-friendly, volunteer run club located in the heart of the Lefevre Peninsular.

At Coastal Community Dog Training Club we aim to:

- provide a respectful, safe and inclusive training environment for all;

- protect the welfare of dogs and promote responsible dog ownership in our community;

- teach positive, rewards-based, competency-focused training provided by friendly and experienced Instructors.

We hold classes every Sunday from the start of February through to the end of November excepting Public Holiday long weekends. We do not train when the Adelaide forecast is 33 degrees or above by 8am on the training day by the Bureau of Meteorology, alternate activities are provided where possible.

Experienced Instructors

The team at Coastal Community Dog Training Club has over 100 years of combined experience in training dogs and their owners, from beginners to advanced and competition levels in obedience and a wide range of dog sports.

Rewards-Based Training

We believe that positive, reward-based training works best, allowing dogs and handlers to form a strong bond based on good communication and enjoyment whilst learning.

Competency-Focused

We don't believe in limiting your dog's potential.  Our class structure is competency-focused and each class has its own set of skills for participants to master with guidance from our instructors.

Participant progress is recorded each week and once all skills for a class have been completed, you move on to the next class. This method allows dogs and their handlers to learn at their own pace.
